Outreach and Community Events

Part of the mission of our UAMS Adult Sickle Cell Program is to spread awareness through visiting health fairs, schools, churches, and other venues to raise awareness of Sickle Disease in the State of Arkansas. We collaborate with Sickle Cell Support organizations.  September is National Sickle Cell Awareness Month as part of that wider effort, we organize events, annual Sickle Cell Walk, and host an annual symposium that is open to the public.

If you would like us to come to your community health event contact us at SickleCellSupport@uams.edu.
