About Dr. Mavros
Clinical Biography
A native of Athens, Greece, Michail Mavros, M.D., had just enrolled in medical school when a close friend of his passed away from rectal cancer. It was at that point that Mavros decided to devote his career to the care of cancer patients. This devotion led him to the US and Canada for training in some of the top residency and fellowship programs.
Mavros is one of few surgeons with accredited subspecialty training in both complex surgical oncology and hepato-pancreato-biliary (HPB) surgery and has a special interest in minimally invasive (laparoscopic and robotic-assisted) oncologic surgery. He supports precision medicine using the latest evidence-based approaches to develop a personalized treatment plan for each patient.
