About Dr. Cassat
Clinical Biography
Michael Cassat, M.D., is a primary care sports medician physician and an assistant professor in the UAMS Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Rehabilitation. His practice focuses on non-operative sports medicine and orthopedic injuries, ranging from sprains and strains to broken bones and osteoarthritis.
Dr. Cassat received his medical degree at UAMS in 1997 and completed his family medicine residency at the UAMS Area Health Education Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas, in 2005. Dr. Cassat has practiced in primary care and musculoskeletal medicine in Springdale, Arkansas, and then Eagle and Vail, Colorado. Prior to joining UAMS in 2015, he practiced at Arkansas Specialty Orthopedics in Little Rock.
Dr. Cassat currently sees patients at the UAMS Health Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine Clinic on Rodney Parham in West Little Rock.
