About Mara E. Wood

Clinical Biography

Mara Wood, Ph.D., is a pediatric neuropsychologist and Assistant Professor in Pediatrics at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Her clinical work is at the Schmieding Developmental Center in Springdale, AR. Dr. Wood evaluates children for psychological and neuropsychological conditions. Prior to her appointment at UAMS, she practiced as a school psychologist in Northwest Arkansas. Dr. Wood also provides supervision and training for graduate students in psychology.

Clinical Focus

Dr. Wood’s clinical focus is on differential diagnosis of psychological disorders and assisting in treatment planning for psychological and neuropsychological disorders. She works with families to understand the educational impacts of behavioral health conditions, develop interventions for home and school, identify additional referrals for the patient, and understand current functioning and prognosis for a child’s diagnosis.
