Clinical Biography
Corey Montgomery, M.D., is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon specializing in malignant and benign tumors of the bone and soft-tissues in both adults and children. Dr. Montgomery is the only fellowship-trained orthopaedic oncologist in the state of Arkansas and sees patients in the UAMS Health Orthopaedic Oncology Clinic and at Arkansas Children’s Hospital.

Academic Biography
Dr. Montgomery earned his medical degree from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and completed his five-year orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He then completed his fellowship in orthopaedic oncology at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Montgomery is an associate professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at UAMS and serves as the residency program director, where he oversees the education and training of the department’s 25 orthopaedic surgery residents. He has received numerous accolades for his medical student and resident teaching at UAMS, including several red sash awards from the UAMS College of Medicine. He was also the 2022 recipient of the R. Dale Blasier, M.D., Residency Education Award in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery.
Dr. Montgomery is active within the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Musculoskeletal Tumor Society, the Southern Orthopaedic Association and the J. Robert Gladden Orthopaedic Society. He also served as the principal investigator on several research projects resulting in peer-reviewed research publications.

Dr. Montgomery is THE BEST DR I've ever had the pleasure of being the patient of!! He has such a big heart & truly care for you & not only can you just feel it but he hates you by talking through everything with you, answering any questions & not making you feel bad for asking them, he involves you completely in your treatment plan & even allow you to go against his opinion. I've been seeing Dr. Montgomery for 7yrs now & I'm VERY particular about my DRs & I have Several! I absolutely wish I could have him as my DR for any & all my medical conditions because I KNOW he's going to do the very best for ME.
