Enrollment at Kids First begins with a referral. While many families self-refer for services, evaluation for enrollment at Kids First also requires a referral from the child’s primary care physician. Through the intake process, our interprofessional team of early childhood professionals, occupational, speech, and physical therapists, dietitians, and nurses works with families to conduct evaluations and collect information regarding the child and family’s strengths and needs. Results from the assessments are reviewed by the Kids First team to determine eligibility for services.
Each of our 11 clinics has a different capacity, typically mirroring the size of the community they serve. From less than 40 in Warren to almost 100 in Pine Bluff, each clinic must limit enrollment to the number of children they can safely and effectively serve.
If you are interested in enrolling your child or making a referral to the Kids First Program, please contact the clinic director in your community.
