Overview
UAMS Kids First is an academic, interdisciplinary program providing comprehensive care to young children with special needs. Our university-based clinical team provides best-practice developmental intervention and medical support for infants, toddlers and preschoolers through high-quality, coordinated, family-centered programming.
UAMS Kids First is proud to also serve as the training ground for future physicians, nurses, therapists, early childhood specialists, and other healthcare professionals through the University of Arkansas’s Interdisciplinary Education initiative. Born of a research project demonstrating the benefits of our unique model of care, UAMS Kids First continues to support research into innovative programming and intervention techniques, serving as the university’s “lab school” to advance the science of care for children with special needs.
