When Should I Get a Colonoscopy? | S. Thomas Kang, M.D. | UAMS Health

Transcript

An average risk adult should start their colonoscopy screening at age 45 and I think this is hugely important because colorectal cancers are always listed in the top three most common malignancies and also most common malignancies that can lead to mortality. And colorectal cancer is, while are usually very curable, they can also be prevented by getting their colonoscopy screening done and also that affords us with the ability to get rid of any precancerous lesions, so screening is the ultimate prevention for any diseases that could happen in the future.
