I have pictures when I was 18 months old swinging a club. I’ve always just played golf and I played with my grandfather when we were young. Golf inherently is an unnatural move to make. It puts so much torque on your body. Dr. Barnes was a humongous help to me. He’s the reason that I’m still playing golf and I’m convinced of that. Credit to Dr. Barnes unbelievably he started looking at me and I was showing him the exercises I was doing and he said wait a minute let’s run some more tests let’s do some more things and he goes Glen I really think we can scope your hip and he said I want you to go see Larry O’Malley. They did a tremendous job of looking at me as an athlete, me as a person, what I was doing and where I was going to get the best care I could possibly get. Dr. O’Malley did a scope. It turned out perfect and it’s been great ever since. Between Dr. Barnes at UAMS, Dr. O’Malley at UAMS all of the rehab people that I’ve dealt with, they got me back on track I believe quicker and allowed me to get back to playing golf without them I don’t know if I would be playing today. I am so proud to be wearing the UAMS medical logo. Not only for what I’ve been through, but Dr. Barnes has been such a great person to me and I have had other issues, myself and along with family members where I’ve called and said hey I need a suggestion and he goes we’ve got the best guy for that down here at UAMS and we’ve seen multiple doctors down there for various reasons. Everyone that we have met at UAMS has been professional has been courteous. The people that I’ve dealt with everybody works as one. Family is big to me and I really believe that UAMS health is a big family.
