UAMS has the benefit of having everything under one roof. The ophthalmic technology, scanning lasers and retinal photography that we have available are state-of-the-art. If a patient needs subspecialty ophthalmology care, then we have it. If a patient needs surgery, the operating room is on the fourth floor of our building. If a patient needs a referral to cardiology, family medicine, or neurology then the referral is entered before the patient leaves the exam room. If a patient wants to shop for glasses we have a redesigned and updated Optical Shop on the first floor. And better yet, if you are a patient in the UAMS Health system every physician has access to all of your medication, surgical history, diagnoses and office visits so that we can provide you with customized care to fit your health needs.
