Ingredients
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1 28-ounce can tomatoes, cut up
- 1 cup finely chopped green pepper
- 1 cup finely chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- ½ teaspoon dried sage
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 pound spaghetti
Instructions
Spray skillet with non-stick cooking spray to coat. Preheat skillet over medium heat. Add turkey and cook, stirring occasionally approximately 5 minutes or until meat is no longer pink. Drain meat in a colander and then return to pan. Add tomatoes with their juices, green pepper, onion, garlic and dried spices. Bring to a boil and then reduce heat. Simmer, covered for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove cover and continue to simmer for an additional 15 minutes more. Meanwhile cook spaghetti according to package directions, drain well. Serve over spaghetti.
