The provider and assistant entered the room and greeted me. During the examination, the provider asked who performed my breast reduction. After I provided the physician's name, she asked whether the same doctor had also performed the surgery to remove my tumors, and I confirmed that they had. She then asked the assistant how she could tell that the provider had not performed the reduction herself. When the assistant was unable to answer, the provider pointed out what she described as excess fat toward the back of my breast and stated that she would have removed more tissue so it would "look better."These comments were unsolicited, unrelated to the purpose of my visit, and made in a teaching context without my consent. The discussion focused on my body in a critical and comparative manner, rather than on my medical care. This interaction caused me to feel embarrassed, ashamed, and emotionally distressed. I believe this conduct did not align with professional standards of patient dignity, respect, and trauma-informed care, nor did it demonstrate appropriate sensitivity to a patient's physical and emotional well-being.

Physician lost credibility immediately when the first thing she discussed was my history and she was listing the history of another patient. Instead of apologizing and taking accountability for this mistake she blamed the APRN for the error. Her tone was patronizing and she appeared overwhelmed and shaken. I will be seeking care elsewhere and this visit is 100% the reason for my decision. She confused what my diagnosis was and what my age was a few times during this initial visit.

When I asked for clarity around having a biopsy and it leading to the first presumed diagnosis of fat necrosis.. I was a little shocked. Then I was quickly interrupted and reminded that I signed a waiver indicating the possibility of getting an infection or being open to anything happening. I understand this. However, I was simply seeking clarity because everything felt fast paced, out of sync, no one knew my story or records - and that didn't make sense to me. I do understand humanity.. It just didn't feel like mine was fully honored in that moment.

Just feel like she doesn't "hear" me. Was quick to assume she knew what I was asking and dismissed concerns without taking time to listen.
