Academic Biography

Dr. Rachel M. Taylor is a board-certified radiologist specializing in breast imaging, recognized for her dedication to advancing patient care and education in the medical community. She currently serves as an Assistant Professor and Associate Program Director for the Diagnostic Radiology Residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, where she combines her clinical expertise with a passion for teaching and mentorship.

Dr. Taylor earned her medical degree with Highest Honors from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, where she was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. She completed her residency in Diagnostic Radiology at the University of Tennessee Graduate School of Medicine, followed by a fellowship in Breast Imaging at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Temple, Texas.

Throughout her career, Dr. Taylor has been actively engaged in leadership and service. She is the Young Alternate Councilor for the Arkansas Radiological Society. And as Leader of the Commission on Outreach and Professional Opportunities, she fosters networking and collaboration among radiologists of all backgrounds.

A dedicated researcher and author, Dr. Taylor has contributed to several peer-reviewed publications and book chapters, particularly focusing on breast cancer and diagnostic imaging approaches. Her scholarship reflects a commitment to improving outcomes for patients facing breast disease and advancing the field of radiology.

Through her clinical work, research, and leadership, Dr. Taylor continues to shape the future of diagnostic radiology while championing professionalism, innovation, and patient-centered care.
