About Dr. Inclan
Clinical Biography
Dr. Paul Inclan is an assistant professor and orthopaedic sports medicine surgeon at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS). He specializes in complex knee surgery, ACL reconstruction, and hip preservation. He currently serves as head team physician for the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Trojans.

Academic Biography
Dr. Inclan graduated Summa Cum Laude from Wofford College in South Carolina, where he was a Division I collegiate football player with post-graduate scholarships from the Carolina Panthers, Southern Conference, and Wake Forest School of Medicine. He was named to the Southern Conference All-Academic team, Phi Beta Kappa, and the National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society. His academic achievements continued into medical school, where he graduated first in his class from Wake Forest School of Medicine and was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) and Gold Humanism Honor Society.
Dr. Inclan completed his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at Washington University in St. Louis, one of the top-ranked training programs in the country. During that time, Dr. Inclan assisted in the medical coverage for various athletic teams, including the St. Louis Blues, St. Louis City FC II, the St. Louis Battlehawks, and Lindenwood University athletics, in addition to multiple high schools in the area.
After his residency, Dr. Inclan completed his Sports Medicine Fellowship at the renowned Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS), recognized as the top hospital for orthopaedic surgery in the United States. During his training, he served as an Assistant Team Physician for the New York Giants Football Team under Head Team Physician Dr. Scott Rodeo and Hall of Fame athletic trainer Ronnie Barnes. Dr. Inclan joined UAMS directly following his fellowship.

Dr. Inclan's Research
Dr. Inclan is active in sports medicine research, and previously conducted research with members of the National Football League (NFL) research and innovation committee. With over 30 research publications and numerous national presentations, his work has been published in prestigious journals such as the American Journal of Sports Medicine (AJSM), Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery (JBJS), Foot and Ankle International, Journal of Arthroplasty, and The Bone and Joint Journal.
Dr. Inclan’s research has been recognized with first prize at the Wake Forest Medical Student Research Symposium and earning the top Chief Resident Research Award at Washington University. Additionally, Dr. Inclan serves as a reviewer for AJSM, Sports Health, and the HSS Journal, underscoring his commitment to furthering the understanding and treatment of sports-related injuries. Being intimately involved in the sports medicine research community allows Dr. Inclan to provide cutting-edge insights and contemporary evidence-based procedures for the young athlete and athletic population of Arkansas.
