Patrick W. Jennings, M.D. Diagnostic Radiologist

Academic Biography

Patrick Jennings, MD is a diagnostic radiologist in the Division of Breast Imaging at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), where he serves as the Breast Imaging Fellowship Director. He earned his medical degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, completed residency training in diagnostic radiology at the University of Tennessee Medical Center, and pursued subspecialty fellowship training in breast imaging at UAMS.

Dr. Jennings is deeply engaged in medical education, serving as co-director of the M3 and M4 radiology selectives and as a member of Residency Clinical Competency Committee. He actively mentors medical students and fellows, and contributes to the academic development of trainees.

At the state and national levels, Dr. Jennings has held multiple leadership positions within the Arkansas Radiologic Society, the state chapter of the American College of Radiology (ACR). He currently serves as Secretary-Treasurer of the Arkansas Radiologic Society.

His scholarly work includes multiple peer-reviewed publications on breast cancer, and he is also a clinical collaborator in breast cancer research at the Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute, with ongoing projects in breast cancer imaging and necroptosis-mediated cell death.

Through his combined roles as educator, investigator, and leader, Dr. Jennings is committed to advancing breast imaging practice, training the next generation of radiologists, and improving patient-centered cancer care.
