About Dr. Hoque
Clinical Biography
Dr. Md Shadiqul Hoque is a board-certified physician specializing in hematology and oncology, with a strong commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered cancer care. He completed his residency at Detroit Medical Center (2012–2015) and subsequently pursued fellowship training in hematology and oncology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (2021–2024).
Dr. Hoque earned his medical degree from Dhaka Medical College in Bangladesh. His clinical interests include gastrointestinal malignancies and sarcoma, areas in which he has developed focused expertise. During his fellowship, he undertook additional dedicated training in these subspecialties, working closely with experienced specialists (Dr. Govindarajan) to further refine his diagnostic and therapeutic approach.
Following the fellowship, Dr. Hoque continued to care for patients with complex oncologic conditions at Good Samaritan University Hospital in New York, where his practice included a significant focus on gastrointestinal cancers and sarcoma. He is known for his thoughtful, individualized approach to treatment, emphasizing clear communication, shared decision-making, and comprehensive care tailored to each patient’s needs.
Dr. Hoque is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American College of Physicians, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Hematology, and the Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons.
He is fluent in English and Bengali and conversational in Hindi, Urdu, and Arabic, allowing him to effectively communicate with a diverse patient population and ensure culturally sensitive care.
