Patient ratings are not available for this provider. Why not?

Why are there no ratings?

There is no publicly available rating for this medical professional for one of three reasons:

  • He or she does not see patients
  • He or she sees patients but has not yet received the minimum number of Patient Satisfaction Reviews. To be eligible for display, we require a minimum of 30 surveys. This ensures that the rating is statistically reliable and a true reflection of patient satisfaction.
  • He or she is a resident physician.

About Katherine Kelton

Clinical Biography

Katherine Kelton, Ph.D., MSPH,  is a licensed clinical psychologist and assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry. Dr. Kelton sees patients on an outpatient basis at the UAMS Psychiatric Research Institute. Dr. Kelton has expertise in utilizing evidence-based interventions to assess and treat persons with complex clinical presentations with specialization in trauma-related and substance use disorders. She is passionate about co-creating an empowering environment for people to explore their experiences and identities with curiosity over judgement. Dr. Kelton also works with the Health and Legal System (HEALS) Lab on several projects and collaborates with investigators at the South Central Mental Illness Research, Education and Clinical Center (MIRECC). Dr. Kelton strives to cultivate a broader lens for promoting higher-quality, interdisciplinary science driven by cultural humility. This value is reflected in her clinical and research activities, which broadly examines how sociocultural and systemic inequities impact mental health, especially in marginalized and underserved populations. These include people experiencing incarceration and/or unstable housing, individuals encompassed within the LGBTQIA+ spectrum, people involved in the immigration process, sex workers, as well as veterans, first responders, and law enforcement personnel.
