I think he seemed perturbed that I was a squeezed in appointment. He did not take one minute to get to know who I was or how my eye felt, how long things have been going on or my history- he just started in right away Seeming to know what the problem was and upon not finding it, asked me "so you haven't had any pain?" to which I had already answered an online pre appointment info, tools the nurse about the appointment reason and history of my eye concerns He seemed annoyed by the medication I was given by my optometrist and told me the medicine I was on was too weak I told him the reason for that was my optometrist didn't want to totally clear up the problem As I saw her on a Friday afternoon and was not able to see an ophthalmologist until Monday and wanted him to be able to see the Issues she was concerned about. He put me on a strong steroid for my eye to which both my optometrist when she followed up with me and the pharmacist, both gasped at how much steroid this doctor wanted to put into my eye, he asked me If I had a major surgery which I hadn't or Was there a reason for it - I said I have no idea Seemed to be overkill to both of them to be putting one drop of steroid in my eye every wake hour (14hrs) a day for one week and continue on down for six weeks They both seem concerned while this doctor gave me no indication that this was abnormal or could cause any problems. Both my optometrist and the pharmacist said I should be monitored for eye, pressure concerns and the doctor is not seeing me again for four weeks I find this a bit concerning as well.

I left my appointment feeling dismissed and unheard. The doctor never clearly explained my diagnosis or restrictions; I had to ask multiple times just to get basic information. It felt like they were just going through the motions rather than taking my injury seriously. I left with more confusion than clarity, and I expected a higher standard of care and communication.
