Golden Hour

The first hour after your baby’s birth is a very special time. At UAMS we think this special time should be for your baby to meet you for the first time while being held skin to skin with mom. Our goal is to let this first hour be all about you and your baby. We try not to interrupt or separate you, if at all possible during this time. Friends and family should wait to visit after this bonding time between mom, partner and baby.
