About the Medical Weight Management Clinic
The UAMS Health Medical Weight Management Clinic helps patients lose weight and improve their weight related complications. For this, the doctor and patient have to be on a same page. The patient needs to be willing and ready to lose weight by committing to changes in lifestyle, eating and exercise pattern. If you are ready we would love to help you with your weight-related complications.
Surgical Weight Management Program (opening soon)
The UAMS Surgical Weight Management Program provides effective surgical solutions for weight loss and the management of obesity-related health conditions. Our dedicated team collaborates closely with the UAMS Medical Weight Management Clinic to develop a personalized care plan tailored to each patient’s health needs. Through a comprehensive approach that combines nutrition, exercise, and psychosocial support, our program is designed to help you achieve your weight loss goals and enhance your overall health.
Prescription Information
To refill a prescription, please ask your pharmacy to send an eScribe request to our clinic, or you can request a refill during your appointment. If you originally filled your prescription at the UAMS Health Outpatient Pharmacy, you can also refill your prescription online using MyChart.
Parking Information
Parking is available in Parking 3, a parking deck at the corner of South Cedar Street and West Capitol Avenue. Please remember to bring your parking stub with you to the clinic for validation and free parking.
Valet parking is available in front of the UAMS Health Outpatient Center for a $10 fee. If you leave after 5:30 p.m., call UAMS police at 501-686-7777 for your keys.

Request a referral if they meet criteria and they will be contacted to get scheduled.
What to Bring to Your Appointment
For your first appointment, please bring a photo ID and your insurance card along with a list of any medications you’re taking, including over-the-counter medications. Please arrive 15 mins early to fill out a medical intake form.
