About Student Health Clinic
The Student Health Clinic (SHC) provides UAMS students with the treatment of acute illnesses, wellness, and health promotion services and continual health education. UAMS Students who have paid the clinic fee at registration will have access to the SHC. Students must present their student ID and insurance information when checking in for clinic services.
If after evaluation in the clinic, it is determined that services outside the scope of the clinic are needed, appropriate referrals will be made. The clinic performs in-clinic labs (deductibles for labs and x-rays are based on the PPO Allowance as seen under Benefits).
Health Education at the Student Health Clinic
The SHC is focused on more than simply your physical health. Our goal is to maintain a health education program that enriches the lives of our students and patients. Here are some resources available to you:
What to Bring to Your Appointment
At the time of the appointment students are required to submit:
- Student Health Insurance Card

UAMS MyChart is a patient portal that gives you free, secure 24-hour online access to your health information. You can see your lab and test results, send messages to your doctor, make appointments, refill prescriptions and pay your bills. Ask your clinic staff or hospital nurse how to sign up for UAMS MyChart.
