About Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Clinic
In our Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Clinic, otherwise known as physiatry services, UAMS experts provide treatment of the whole patient so that you can reach your full potential and live life to the fullest.
Our caring and compassionate doctors specialize in the management of chronic, disabling disorders. We coordinate team efforts for patients with various disabilities such as:
- Neuromuscular disorders
- Musculoskeletal disorders
- Chronic pain
- Spinal cord injury
- Major medical equipment needs
Instead of focusing on one part of the body, we target development of a comprehensive program for putting the pieces of your life back together — physically, socially, emotionally and vocationally — after injury or disease. We use many different patient care strategies and interventions and aim to improve your personal potential, as well as reduce impairments and disabilities.
Parking is available in Parking 3 at the corner of Cedar and Capitol. Valet parking is available in front of the Outpatient Center.
Directions From the Parking Area
- Go to level 3A in the parking deck and follow signs to Elevator G.
- The clinic is on your right before you turn into the elevator lobby.

What to Bring to Your Appointment
For your first appointment, please bring a picture ID and your insurance card. The UAMS medical staff will also need information about any medications you’re taking, including over the counter medications. You should also bring any medical records you can provide. Also, bring a completed copy of the Patient Health Questionnaire sent to you after you set your first appointment.
For future appointments, please advise us of any changes in your insurance information or your medications. This clinic also requires that all new patients pay for their first visit at the appointment
UAMS MyChart is a patient portal that gives you free, secure 24-hour online access to your health information. You can see your lab and test results, send messages to your doctor, make appointments, refill prescriptions and pay your bills. Ask your clinic staff or hospital nurse how to sign up for UAMS MyChart.
