Telephone interpretation is a three-way phone conversation with a human interpreter. The interpreter facilitates communication, meaning-for-meaning, between a limited English proficiency (LEP) Hispanic patient and the health care provider.
During a consultation, the patient, family and health care provider(s) speak directly to each other. The interpreter says everything spoken between all parties.

- Caller’s name
- Clinic name
- Patient’s full name
- Patient’s date of birth
