Condition: Thyroid Cancer

The thyroid, a small but very important organ, regulates every aspect of your metabolism, from your heart rate to how quickly you burn calories.

Some of the possible signs of thyroid cancer include a lump in the neck, hoarseness, trouble swallowing or a cough that continues and is not related to a cold.

Did you know that women are three times more likely to develop thyroid cancer than men? Thyroid cancer most commonly occurs in people over the age of 45.

Some types of thyroid cancer grow faster than others. Methods of treatment for thyroid cancer usually include surgery and radioactive iodine treatment.
