My name is Glenn Howe and Dr. Lowry Barnes did a total knee replacement for me. My career in NFL was 6 years long. I was an offensive tackle back in the 80s and uh that’s probably what caused most of my issues for me to have to call Dr. Barnes. I started having problems with my knee while I was playing golf and it was really interfering with my golf game so I decided then that I needed to go have something done to this knee. My care at UAMS Health was great. I showed up at 5:00 a.m., 6 I was in pre-op, 7 I was on a surgery table at 8:15 I woke up in post-op and 11:00 I was sitting at home in my recliner. My surgery was February of 23 by June of 23, I was back on the golf course. My quality of life has improved so much since I got this knee operated on. You know I’m back doing my morning walks, playing golf whenever I want to, still hunt. I’m an avid hunter. I would recommend anybody to go to UAMS Health. The whole Ortho team there is just phenomenal.
