Clinical Resource: Softball Pitcher’s Throwing Progression

The UAMS Orthopaedics Softball Pitcher’s Throwing Progression is a structured program to safely return softball pitchers to throwing after an injury, divided into three phases: Early Throwing, Initiation of Pitching, and Intensified Pitching. Each phase progresses in distance, volume, and effort, with all throws starting at 50% effort and incorporating warm-up tosses, long toss with a crow-hop, and 8-minute rest intervals.
