Description
Meet Dr. Chad Cragle, a surgical oncologist at UAMS Health who specializes in the treatment of a wide range of solid tumor cancers.
In this video, Dr. Cragle explains his role in caring for patients with complex cancers including sarcomas, melanoma and advanced skin cancers, as well as cancers of the stomach, pancreas, biliary system and liver. These conditions often require highly specialized surgical expertise to remove tumors and guide patients through every stage of cancer care.
As Arkansas’s only academic medical center, UAMS Health provides advanced, multidisciplinary cancer care for some of the most complex cases in the state. I’m Chad Cragle. I’m a surgical oncologist here at UAMS. In my practice, I treat a wide range of different solid tumors of the body — tumors that produce an actual mass that can be surgically removed. This includes sarcomas, skin cancers such as melanomas and advanced skin cancers, as well as gastric, pancreatic, biliary, and liver cancers.
UAMS is the state’s only academic medical center. It truly represents the highest level of care available for many of the complex problems I treat.
It has also been a privilege to come back to Arkansas, where I grew up and where I trained in medical school, and to give back to the people of this state.
The most rewarding part of what I do is getting somebody all the way to the other side of their cancer care — getting them into surveillance with no signs of cancer.
