We all have feelings. That’s a good thing! Like the feeling excitement. It makes me run faster! Feeling scared? That’s helped keep me safe. Sometimes feelings get too big for my body. Like when I’m playing ball or excited that it’s Friday afternoon. I promise I don’t want to get on anyone s bad side! So I made a list of things that make me feel calmer. Taking deep breaths is one that works. I imagine I’m filling up a balloon inside my belly. Then I slowly let the air back out. Another thing on my list is to look for things that are green. Green is my favorite color. It makes me calm down. Let me tell you about the muscle squeeze. I scrunch my shoulders up around my ears. I tighten every muscle I can.
