UAMS Health - Balloon Breath

Transcript

Balloon Breathing. When you need to calm down, imagine that your belly is a balloon. With your eyes closed or  open, take a deep breath in. Imagine the balloon filling with air. Now take a long, slow breath out and imagine the balloon deflating and getting smaller. Slowly blow up the balloon. Now slowly let the air out. Keep breathing. In…and out… Slowly…and deeply… Try to focus on the rise and fall  of your belly as you breathe. On your own, breathe the balloon as many  times as you need to until you feel calmer.
