A thigh lift, or thighplasty, involves removing excess skin and fat along the thigh to improve contour. The length and orientation of the scar is determined by the amount of excess tissue the patient has. The scar is planned in such a way to hide it along the inside of the thigh or in the groin crease. Liposuction may be performed in conjunction with a thigh lift to help improve contour.
