The Subutex treatment program at the UAMS Center for Addiction Services and Treatment (CAST) was created to provide opiate agonist therapy for women who are dependent on opiates. Operating in a safe and friendly environment, the program is geared toward treatment and recovery.
All clients must be willing to demonstrate a willingness to abstain from all mood-altering chemicals and to participate in the program until they have reached a successful level of completion that has been determined by their treatment team. Clients must be 18 years of age or older, have adequate transportation and be able to meet the required time and financial commitments. They must also be pregnant and receiving prenatal care.
A handbook outlining all of the criteria for admission as well as the details of the program and a fee schedule is available upon request.
