Treatment/Procedure: Cardiac Ablation

Also called: Cryoballoon Ablation

Ablation is a technique used to treat abnormal heart rates and rhythms (arrhythmias). It involves ablating (destroying) a very small, targeted area of the heart muscle.

Cardiac ablation can treat abnormally fast heart rhythm (called atrial fibrillation or afib). We use sophisticated 3-D mapping systems and state-of-the-art tools to work inside or outside of the heart. Ablation can be a cure for some abnormal heart rhythm problems. We offer radiation-free cardiac ablation procedures whenever possible to reduce radiation-related side effects to our patients.
