With significant changes in weight, most commonly seen in massive weight loss patients, there can be excess tissue in multiple areas of the body including the abdomen, thighs, pubic area, flanks, and back. A body lift addresses most and sometimes all these areas by removing excess tissue around the lower torso and lifting/resuspending the tissue below. Thus, the contour of the abdomen and lower back can be improved, as well as the thighs and buttocks.
