About Sufna G. John

Clinical Biography

Dr. Sufna John, Ph.D., provides evidence-based mental health treatment for children and adolescents, with specializations in early childhood mental health and trauma. She is certified to provide several trauma treatments, including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, and Child-Parent Psychotherapy. She also co-directs the UAMS Complex Trauma Assessment Program, which provides comprehensive psychological assessment services to high-risk youth within the child welfare system. Finally, she co-directs the Arkansas Building Effective Services for Trauma (ARBEST) program, which seeks to improve outcomes for Arkansan children and families who have experienced trauma through excellence in clinical care, advocacy, training, and evaluation.
