Dr. Rucha Bahekar is an assistant professor of neurology at the Jackson T. Stephens Spine and Neurosciences Institute at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS). She is dedicated to helping patients manage the challenges of Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and other neurological conditions. Dr. Bahekar earned her medical degree from Terna Medical College and completed her neurology residency through the Baptist Health–UAMS Internal Medicine Residency Program. Dr. Bahekar is board-certified in neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

I think everyone is really nice. But, until I actually receive any treatment and not just tests I've had... Why would I recommend them? For what? I have not been actually treated for anything yet and I've seen several doctors.

This is regards to my last visit..1st care provider insulted me bout my weight. I told her whst I eat daily..she stated well there must be a problem. There is. Its documents in my files. BOWEL ISSUES. She stated surgury on 2x different occasions.i refused. Because of my health . Complications and time of healing is greater . And lastly she increased my [MEDICATION]. So she claimed. Instead of increasing the mg from 600 to 900. She decreased the mg dosage to 300 mg. 3 pills , 3x a day.. Thats 270 pills in a month. THAT IS INSANITY. I informed the nurse of this error..and told her not to prescribe me with any more medication. The script she wrote , was incorrect .the description was right. How she thought. But the quantity is for 90 pills not 270. Tbis messes me up for the month..meaning I wont have my normal prescribed dosage because of her error. I won't be seeing thos dr again

The Neurologist, Rucha Bahekar, MD, was honestly the best one I have ever seen. We definitely want to keep her as my primary Neurologist. She was informed about my condition, gave me probable and helpful diagnosis, and was simply delightful to work with. I honestly have never had such an excellent, well researched/informed and kind Neurologist, and I have seen Neurologists since my 20s. Whoever her supervisor is - please know, she is amazing and you better keep her. I haven't left an appointment with hope in a long time. That is a good feeling to have, especially when you're a complex patient like me with a main genetic condition that has no cure. It is good to have a specialist that takes me seriously and offers practical help, things we can do to improve symptoms and even possibly raise more awareness about my condition.
