Clinical visit was very good, but the lab had a (male) employee that was rude, abrasive, told me the wrong place to go, and could not have cared less.

Although the lady in information and the lady at reception in renal department was rude the lady that checked me out was awesome. I had no plans of returning to that clinic because the 2nd doctor didn't put in my order for labs he forgot, it wasn't until the 1st doctor I saw called me on a Saturday to explain my labs did I have a little faith restored in that office.

Dr [NAME] was thorough, professional, respectful, conversed well, listened well, and genuinely was engaged in my concerns and my treatment. But after he went to consult with the attending Dr Raim, then Dr [NAME] did not return to my treatment room rather it was Dr Raim that appeared. De Raim appeared to be sexist and spent quite a bit of time talking down to me. He didn't appear to be knowledgeable about my medical history but rather more concerned with rushing me out the door. My concerns were completely side swept by Dr Raim. I am now left with getting in touch with the specialists of Arkansas Blue Cross Blue Shield to review my medical history and labs then send me to another in network provider regarding my kidneys and their 50% functioning levels. I'm not obese, no heart disease, no diabetes and in fact I'm lean and muscular former Nationally competitive athlete. My oncologist says that I'm the healthiest cancer patient he's ever had. It's of no fault to me that I contracted NHL Stage IV in 2010-2016. It was the cancer and chemo that damaged my kidneys and missteps by my pcp for ever prescribing me any nsaids sporadically over the last 3-4 years. I blindly trusted my pcp and it led to further kidneys damage. So for Dr Raim to simply tell me to eat plant based "meats" and avoid salt shows how unaware he was of my medical history. I'm very sensitive to salt and try to avoid it, which is in my records. Also I have pancreatitis, due to pancreas damage also linked to prior cancer and chemo, and cannot readily digest many vegetables (beans, peas, night shades, etc) even though I'm taking Zenpep with each meal. Plus I have a pre-gout situation and experience tremendous body swelling when I digest seafood proteins regularly which always requires a steroid pack to treat because my regular pcp refuses to prescribe anything to help remove the excess purine crystals in my blood system. I wonder if this matter doesn't also place undo stress on my kidneys. Instead of discussing any of these issues Dr Raim asked me if my menstral blood could have gotten into my previous urinalysis samples. I told him no. If he had looked at my records he would have known that my last regular mensuration was during my chemo in January 2012. All this dialogue is to illustrate why I'm dissatisfied with Dr Raim. Dr [NAME] and I covered most all of these matters and we were on a good course to scan and determine the precise state of my kidneys. But he's a resident and was circumvented by Dr Raim, the attending, who arrogantly referred to Dr [NAME] to me as Dr Raim continued his quick and condescending dialogue with me. I guess he likes to think that he's the smartest person in the room. I may only have a PhD compared to his MD but I certainly could have a professional conversation with him but was denied all opportunity as Dr Raim just rushed me out of the clinic.
