I have been a patient of Dr. Macechko for over a decade now. He still had to get Dr [NAME] review his work back on the beginning of my journey to improve my health. I have recommended him to everyone that asks. I followed him to Fayetteville and back to Springdale. I moved to Little Rock for 8 months and still kept him as my primary provider. Excellent bedside manners

I have been with Dr. Michael Macechko for over 15 years. He was a resident when I first met him but even then I knew, he was a unique physician. He cares so much about me as a person and my health in its entirety. I have a complex series of severe medical issues that are always causing problems with each other. Now, read that again because Dr. Macechko takes care of every facet he can with extremely detailed attention and conversation. Not just with me during my office visits, but he also works well with my other doctors outside UAMS to make sure he stays up-to-date on all my current and past health issues. The most important difference with Dr. Macechko is he reviews more than what brought me to his office that day. We reviewed my other medical issues and that led to a series of blood work which has, by now, offered up many answers. Dr. Macechko should be the beacon of what it means to be a doctor and not the exception. His empathy is a driving force in understanding patients and helping to "put himself in their situation." He will tell me he can only imagine how hard my life is and that's why he tries to fight so hard to help me and advocate for me.There are other doctors in the office that need to step up and be more thorough and show some humanity like Dr. Macechko. Dr. [NAME] and Dr. [NAME] are also examples of wonderful physicians. Dr. [NAME] and Dr. Macechko work together regarding my health because of its complexities. That's the initiative that helps me feel safe, I feel my health is well managed and I feel validated. I'm told frequently that I'm a fighter and my severe health issues are not "all in my head." I truly feel well cared for and I appreciate all that Dr. Macechko does for me.
