Mary James, O.D., graduated from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. She has completed an internship at The Eye Center at Southern College of Optometry and an externship at Salem VA Medical Center in Salem, Virginia.
She has been extensively involved in medical outreach as a volunteer with local community organizations providing eye care assistance for those in need and other organizations providing aid in Central America.

It was the first time I had an appointment with Dr. Mary James and I was impressed by her explanations and by the treatment she recommended. Dr. James used terms that I could understand as well and she was very professional and knowledgeable but at the same time I could relate to her and felt very comfortable asking her questions.
