Clinical Biography

Margaret Burge is a licensed clinical social worker with experience spanning healthcare, education, behavioral health, and community-based social services. She has a multidisciplinary background in patient care, crisis intervention, trauma-informed treatment, health education, and behavioral health consultation. Skilled in working with individuals experiencing complex medical, psychological, and social challenges across healthcare, educational, and community settings.

As a behavioral health consultant, Margaret works with the primary care team to support patient care by providing brief targeted interventions to patients with depression, anxiety, insomnia, stress, or other behavioral health-related issues. A behavioral health consultant also works with the team to support patients who struggle with health behaviors, offering therapeutic support to enhance engagement in medical care. In addition to patient care, the behavioral health consultant also works with family medicine residents, medical school students, and other professional students to provide education on screening and addressing patient behavioral health needs
