About Dr. Jefferson

Dr. Jefferson specializes in reproductive psychiatry with a clinical focus on the mental health needs of individuals during pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond. Her work addresses unique complex psychiatric presentations in perinatal populations in the Northwest Arkansas area.

Clinical Focus

Dr. Jefferson leads the Women’s Mental Health Program, Northwest Arkansas’s first specialized clinic dedicated to perinatal mental health. The program serves women throughout their reproductive journey – from preconception through the first postpartum year – providing comprehensive assessment and treatment for depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and other psychiatric conditions that can emerge during this critical period.

Dr. Jefferson's Academic Background

Dr. Jefferson graduated from the UAMS College of Medicine in 2020 and completed her residency in Psychiatry in 2024. She also served as the inaugural Women’s Mental Health Fellow at the Psychiatric Research Institute. She graduated summa cum laude from Henderson State University in Arkadelphia with a double bachelor of science degree in Chemistry and Mathematics.
