Brenda Speed took her time to ask me question & explain what she was doing to figure out my issues. I really like her.

Reason for lower scores is due to a lack of transparency in the discussions about care being provided to me. Specific example being any time the doctor called, Brenda would walk out of the office to talk with him (about my care). I am originally from [STATE], and at [OTHER FACILITY], if a doctor or surgeon were to call (about the patient) during their visit, that call would be shared with the patient likely by placing the call on speaker. To walk out of the office to take a call about the patient being presently seen, is bad optics. It lends credence to the appearance of subterfuge or at a minimum, a editing of facts/concerns regarding treatment and/or care of the patient being seen. Additiinally, this means conversations about my care were being held in a public hallway instead of the exam room. This has happened during every one of my ortho visits at UAMS. This is likely unintentional but that doesn't change the optics and feelings conveyed by such actions.

Very good! Tests were explained to me before they were begun so that I understood them. The nurse , Brenda Speed , is very knowledgeable, efficient, and patient oriented. It was a good experience.
