Dr. Varma is one of the best. My WBC have been abnormal for a while, he was the very first person to ever to show me a detailed breakdown of my WBC results showing me how consistent the tests were compared to what they were before my transplant. I am very pleased with the kindness and care he showed me.

The DR I saw was not prepared for my visit. As a stroke patient who has completed bloodwork for this dr I expected him to actually read it. I have been tested for the same thing three times all with positive results. At first he was making recommendations to quit all heparin and having no reason to continue following up with him. After I asked about said bloodwork, he turned to the computer checked it and said he did need me to continue following up with him and stay on meds. I will not be returning to his practice and will seek care outside of UAMS. My life is too important for a Dr to not check my bloodwork.

Dr Varma took the time to show me trends and baselines of my blood cells counts. We showed me the numerical evidence which completely put my mind at ease. He defined terms I did not understand and he was absolutely patient and respectful to me.
