Condition: Kidney Stones

Did you know that people who live in the southern United States are more likely to form kidney stones? A kidney stone may cause the worst pain a person will ever endure.

UAMS offers all options in the treatment of kidney stones, including shockwave lithotripsy, ureteroscopy and percutaneous surgery.

We take a comprehensive approach to diagnosing, treating and managing your kidney stone disease. Our kidney stone service has the very latest surgical equipment for treating kidney stones, including holmium laser, lithoclast and ultrasound technologies. In addition, after performing a complete, personalized evaluation, we will determine your risk for future kidney stones and give you the strategies you need to prevent this painful condition in the future.
