About 10 to 12 weeks into her pregnancy Taylor Haidze started having excruciating sciatic nerve pain in her lower back and legs. Her UAMS Health care team referred her to physical therapy with therapist Destinee Caldwell, PT, DPT, who specializes in therapy for women at the UAMS Health Women’s Center. After addressing the pain, they worked together on functional strengthening, dynamic stretching, manual therapy, and preparing for labor and delivery. Their hard work paid off, and her healthy baby boy, Paul Michael, was born on Nov. 30.
“Destinee was a lifesaver, and UAMS was literally the best hospital for us. They were so wonderful with Paul Michael’s care as well as mine.” – Taylor Haidze, Hot Springs
