Physician recognition program 2017-03-22T14:01:41-06:00

The National Committee for Quality Assurance’s (NCQA) Diabetes Physician Recognition Program, cosponsored by the American Diabetes Association (ADA), is a voluntary program for physicians who provide care to people with diabetes. Physicians can achieve recognition by submitting data that demonstrates they are providing quality diabetes care.

Examples of demonstrated clinical outcomes may include appropriate screening checks to prevent complications of diabetes, such as screening for kidney, eye, and foot damage. Only physicians who consistently meet these target goals for quality receive this recognition.
