Cardiac stress imaging assesses blood flow through the coronary arteries and heart muscle. It is used to evaluate patients with chest pain for possible heart attack, to determine the viability of heart muscle for potential revascularization decisions, and to evaluate risk management in preoperative surgery patients. Our department performs both Sestamibi SPECT and N13 PET myocardial perfusion imaging.
