Octreotide scintigraphy is an imaging study used for the detection, localization, and monitoring of neuroendocrine tumors bearing somatostatin receptors. These may include pituitary adenoma, carcinoid, gastrinoma, insulinoma, pheochromocytoma, medullary thyroid cancer, and neuroblastoma.
