Dr.Zafar was beyond patient with me when we got disconnected and stayed online until I could reconnect and was still online until he finally finished explaining everything, and explained everything in terms that I could understand. Very Very Grateful!! Will definitely recommend him to others!!

Doctor Taqi Zafar explained he was going talk about my health issue then he would listen to our concerns and questions. He explained in detail of my health issues and what will help me to recover, what providers I need and passed notes to them what therapy would help me. He was very compassionate of my life issues I had. THEN, he listen to all our questions and concerns . he never dismissed any of them. I think we thanked him four times leaving. What a great Physician.

Concerning the question about Dr. Zafar knowing my medical history; this was my first visit with Dr. Zafar. I would not expect him to know in great detail about my medical history. He did ask many questions and we talked at some length about my medical history.

The Doctor had referred me to see another doctor then forgot why he referred. Now I have to live with loosing me eye sight. Do to he couldn't remember. Plus I felt like my care wasn't important to him.

I did not feel like the provider was aware of the mental status of the patient. He is a mentally challenged [60+] year old whom is not aware of how to relate how he feels some times. Myself as his care taker and older sister I do not live in the same house as him I to see that he is taken care of medically and make sure he has the necessities to live and take care of himself.

Dr. Zafar was a little late for our 8 AM appointment, and had not reviewed my file. I understand he must be very busy, but it would have inspired more confidence had he taken a moment to review so that he would know why I was seeing him.

I was told that I would be going to UAMS to see the epilepsy doctor. So I was taken to the outpatient entrance and learned I was supposed to go to Jack Stevens to the sixth floor. The receptionist ordered me a shuttle because I'm legally blind and it was hot out and I went to the next building went to six floor and it was all locked up. So I went to the second floor and learned I was in the wrong place that facilities practice manager ordered another shuttle to take me to the freeway building where I found the epilepsy center on the six floor. It was so hot out and uncomfortable, but every employee I came in contact with helpful, courteous, professional, and kind my suggestion would be to be sure and tell people you're not at the UAMS campus.

I felt like the physician had reviewed my medical history thoroughly, but I felt rushed in my description of my symptoms and history, because his mind was made up -it seems- on what the diagnosis was before he walked in the door. I do agree with imaging and medication he prescribed as well as the lack of need for repeated testing such as MRI of the brain and LE EMG. It just seemed to me like he felt like I was wasting his time. I had this consult placed in December 2022 and my appointments kept getting changed and even the MD, after apparently the one I was scheduled with initially was no longer there. He provided an oppourtunity to ask questions and answered them satisfactorily, just not very personable.

This has been a very scary season for myself and my husband. We had no idea what was happening, the medicine made him worse. Dr Zafar and his staff made us feel accepted, the dr spent a lot of time listening before responding. He gave us a sense of peace as we begin this new way of living with possible seizures. Thank you
