The doctor was nice however, I didn't feel very comfortable talking to her especially after she shared her opinion on the covid-19 vaccine.

Everything with my appointment went real good. The only thing is when I got my injection done I'm a nurse as well. But that's just either here, nor there, the nurse literally came out there in the waiting room. Me and three other, ladies, and blurted all my business out in front of everybody. And I'm really thinking about not coming back and seeking my treatment, but you guys, like they're just was just so unprofessional in so many ways. I would never do one of my patients like that. If I wouldn't, if she didn't know what I was coming in there, to get a vaccine for, she should have looked at my chart and see what it was. It had called me back, not blurting my business out in front of everybody like that. That was really disgusting of her.

I don't care to see Nurse Stephanie Strode again. I left my visit with her unsure of my health, feeling uneasy and extremely stressed. My health and my baby's health is important to me. I've expressed concerns about my anxiety in regards to giving birth and my maternal health as a black woman and I don't feel as though it was considered during my last visit. I was extremely worked up about things that weren't confirmed by test results. I was told that I'm likely developing gestational diabetes and preeclampsia and that my baby could be taken early if things get bad. It's not what was said, the problem is how it was delivered. Then she talked to me about whether I was ok with a blood transfusion immediately after. I didn't know if she was asking for a delivery plan or because of the things she said I was developing. Additionally she told me I haven't seen a doctor but just medical students according to my file-- this was never made clear to me because I thought I was seeing both. She made it seem as good if I didn't see a doctor my entire pregnancy which I have an issue with because I would like to be informed. There is no issue charging me for services so there shouldn't be an issue keeping me informed and making sure I have the same standard of service as every other individual. I've heard great things about UAMS labor and delivery and so there is a standard of service and expectations of care I had for UAMS but UAMS fell short at my last visit (with the exception of the nurse who checked my blood pressure). Additionally, the nurse didn't properly wear her mask the duration of my visit. There were so many things wrong with my visit. It really saddens me to have experienced this. I am beyond disappointed and will be filing a complaint to document my experience.

I called and told them what I needed the appointment for. Then when I get there they tell me they don't treat diabetes and high blood pressure

I feel how you can most improve on when we're in the room being seen by the doctor, I can hear what the doctor is saying to other patients. That's not good. So, the waiting room is too close to the patient's room for us to know what's going on with other patients. I don't want to know if the woman next door to me has [DISEASE]. Y'all have to do something about that.
