I did not feel that my provider listened to my health concerns adequately. I felt that my problems were diminished, as I was told by my provider multiple times that it was possible there was nothing wrong. I did not feel that anything my provider did warranted the trip I made to the office; I was given a verbal questionnaire that was lengthy, yet standard, and much of which I had answered through the patient portal ahead of time. Other than this, the only thing my provider did was review the test results I brought and order a few blood tests, many of which she only chose to complete after I asked her repeatedly what my test options were. I asked for scans several times and was denied; while I understand that she did not believe scans were necessary, I reiterated that I still wished to undergo scans just in case, and because I live over three hours away and wished to decrease my trips to Little Rock as much as possible. Again, I was refused the scans I requested. She told me that I did seem to meet the criteria for fibromyalgia, based on a short series of questions she asked at the end of our visit. When I pointed out that several of the questions she asked were related to cognitive function and that there was a lot of overlap between the cognitive issues related to [PHI](for which I have a diagnosis), she told me that I was correct about this, and that due to the overlap, she did not wish to diagnose me with [PHI] at this point. While I appreciate that she chose not to rush to a diagnosis, I wish that she had made more of an effort to work towards another diagnostic conclusion. Though I've had many tests and scans done at other institutions that have come back normal, I have always appreciated my other doctors' efforts to do everything possible to help in my diagnosis, just in case either of us is incorrect in assuming that the issues are minor. This provider did no such thing. As mentioned earlier, I did not feel listened to, and I felt that my experiences were diminished. The intern working with my provider noticed my distress after the appointment and checked in to make sure I was okay, which I appreciated.

My doctor allows me to ask questions and to express any concerns I have about my health issues. She's very kind and very patient. I like how she takes her time to explain things to me.

I have not been happy with this provider yet. I have seen her 4 (maybe 5) times since she became my Rheumatologist after Dr Khan left. Granted we have Covid going on but she has examined me one time in these 4 visits. The office notes transfer the information over so every note looks like I have had an exam. This last visit was the worst yet. I bet she wasn't In the room with me 3 minutes but I bet she billed a 99214+ to my insurance. If I were to say anything about it, well the note reflects this.....She had already refilled my prescriptions and put in my lab orders before she came in and said we would see how my labs look and go from there. It has been this same story every time. I understand these are different times but this is crazy. She also says that she cannot send me a message in the EMR and I need to message her after my visits to check on my labs?! I do message but what if someone doesn't know how to do that?? My other my chart providers have no issues with sending me messages after they see me. She just hasn't set well with me yet. I tried to extend Grace in the beginning due to Covid but now I have doubts about a lot more and am not convinced she would be a good provider for me if I were to be having issues and have interest in possibly changing providers within the organization and will be checking into if this is an option. UAMS has been an amazing facility to me and helped me tremendously so I know this is not the norm and hate writing this but I have only felt like I had a thorough visit once with her (Dr Kanuru). Thanks for your time.

My biggest complaint was that when I went to the lab, the tecnician missed the vein in my arm and I was bleeding. She was not too concerned about it bu I was very concerned. The pain in my arm was horrible. She finally found a vein in my other arm and now both my arms are bruised. I am not very happy about this at all.
